The
17th European Youth Bridge
Team Championships was held in Antalya, Turkey,
from 6 to 16 July 2000.
The event comprised a Junior series (for players born in 1975 or later) and a Schools series (for players born in 1980 or later). Open to national teams of the EBL member countries, it was organized with great success by the European Bridge League in cooperation with the Turkish Bridge Federation (Turkiye Bric Federasyonu). 26 countries took part in the competition, which ended with NORWAY collecting their fourth European title in the Junior series. THE NETHERLANDS and ISRAEL followed in medal positions, while France was the fourth European qualifier to the 2001 World Junior Teams Championship. The Schools series finished with POLAND heading the general classification. NORWAY's team ended second and FRANCE third. |
