The 1998 European
Junior Teams and Schools Teams
Championships will be held on 16-26 July, in the City Hall of
Vienna, the capital of Austria and one of the most
beautiful cities in the world.
The Championships will be held in Wiener
Rathaus, the Vienna City Hall, in itself an
attractive site right in the heart of the Austrian capital.
The City Hall is one of the many magnificent buildings, like the
Vienna State Opera, the Museum
of Fine Arts, the Parliament,
the National Theatre and the
University, that line the Ring
Boulevard. Inside this Ring is the old city with
St.Stephens Cathedral,
the Imperial Palace, and many other majestic buildings dating from the
time of the Monarchy.
Full-board accommodation will be offered at the Vienna
Student House (Academia Hotels, Pfeilgasse 3a, A-1080
Vienna), which is a good 10-minutes walk from the City Hall.
Meals will be served at the Wigast
Strüberl Restaurant, situated across the street from the
City Hall. Naturally, other accommodations are available in hotels. The
cost of full-board accommodation at the Student House depends on room
occupancy and facilities:
