These Championships include the following competitions: Mixed, Open, Women & Seniors - Pairs and Teams and Mixed/Open BAM Teams.
All events are transnational.
- Mixed Teams will be played with a two-day Swiss qualification followed by a five-day knockout stage
- Open Teams will be played with a three-day Swiss qualification followed by a five-day knockout stage
- Women and Seniors Teams will be played with a three-day Swiss qualification followed by a three-day knockout stage
- Mixed & Open BAM will be played with a two-day qualification, a two-day semifinal A & B followed by a one-day final.
- Mixed & Open Pairs will be played with a two-day qualification, a two-day semifinal A & B followed by a one-day final.
- Seniors Pairs will be played with a two-day qualification, a one-day semifinal A & B followed by a one-day final
- Women Pairs will be played with a two-day qualification, a two-day semifinal A & B followed by a one-day final
The Poznań Congress Centre, a premier exhibition and convention center, will serve as the venue for the championships. Known for its modern facilities and strategic location, Targi Poznańskie offers an ideal setting for an event of this magnitude.
• Awards
European Bridge League Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded. The winners in each category (Mixed, Open, Women and Seniors -Teams & Pairs-, BAMs) will receive the title of European Transnational Champions.
EBL Master Points will be awarded in all events.
Master Points will be awarded in accordance with the EBL Master Points scheme, provided that the player has played at least half of the boards played by his team in the qualification stage and at least half the boards played by his team in the last KO match won by his team.

• Entries - Registration
Entries to the events should be submitted electronically only via the EBL Website (not by email) latest seven days prior to the starting date of the respective event. Later entries will be accepted only if technically convenient.
Bridge players from all WBF zones are entitled to participate in the Championships provided they are members in good standing of a National Bridge Organization (NBO).
To be eligible for participation in the European Transnational Championships a player must comply with the EBL Rules & Regulations and the EBL Eligibility Code under the control of the EBL Credentials Committee.
Entries received will be automatically forwarded to the NBO of each proposed player, and are subject to their NBO’s approval. Cancelations for reasons of force majeur shall be made at the earliest opportunity and the entry fee will be refunded. “No Shows” without valid reasons are subject to sanctions at the discretion of the EBL. For withdrawals of accepted entries please refer to article 1.3 of the SCoC.
Attention is drawn to Article 2.8 of the EBL GCoC. Players, Captains, Coaches and other Team Officials, who have not already submitted one, are required to have signed and submitted the EBL Participant’s Commitment Form (see GCoC Appendix 2) not later than 5 June 2025.
Please note that:
- entries to the EBL BAM Teams & pairs events are to be made the day prior to the start of the respective event at the latest, through an electronic procedure to be published in the Daily Bulletin.
- No registrations will be accepted on the starting day of any competition.

On-site payments will be possible in cash (Euros) by the day prior to the start of the event at the latest, subject to the conditions in “Registration” above, at the Tournament Reception & Registration Desk at the Venue.
