• Format
The 1st European Winter Transnational Championships (WTC) will be hosted at Palais des Sports et des Congrès, 70 avenue de Brandes, 38750 l’Alpe d’Huez - France.
• WTC. Will be a 7-day event, conducted under the auspices of the European Bridge League (EBL). Unless stated otherwise in these Regulations, the WTC shall be governed by the EBL General Conditions of Contest (GCoC).
• Les Etincelles BAM Trophy. A 4/5-day Side Open Team event.
Both events will be transnational and there will be no restriction on the number of entries per NBO. Apart from the prizes, EBL Masterpoints will be awarded for both events.

• Schedule of Play
The competition will commence on Monday, April 15th, at 10:00 AM. Over the initial three days, participants will engage in 12 rounds of the Swiss system, each round consisting of 12 boards. The daily schedule is as follows:
Match 1: 10:00 – 11:45 AM
Match 2: 12:00 – 1:45 PM
Lunch Break
Match 3: 2:45 – 4:30 PM
Match 4: 4:45 – 6:30 PM
The top 16 teams will progress to the playoffs.
All playoff matches will comprise 56 boards, divided into four segments of 14 boards each. The daily schedule for the playoffs (excluding the final day) is:
Segment 1: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Segment 2: 12:15 – 2:15 PM
Lunch Break
Segment 3: 3:15 – 5:15 PM
Segment 4: 5:30 – 7:30 PM
The final day (Sunday, April 21st) will have a modified schedule to accommodate the prize-giving ceremony at 6:15 PM:

Les Étincelles BAM Trophy Schedule:
The competition will begin on Thursday, April 18th, at 10:00 AM. The specific format will be determined based on the number of entries and announced prior to the event.
Reminder: Teams not participating in the EWTC are eligible to enter the BAM Trophy.
The final day of the BAM Trophy (Sunday, April 21st) is set to conclude at 4:15 PM, followed by the prize-giving ceremony at 4:30 PM.
• Conditions of Contest
• Entries - Registration
Entries to the events should be submitted electronically only via the EBL Website (not by email) latest two days prior to the starting date of the respective event. Later entries will be accepted only if technically convenient.
Bridge players from all WBF zones are entitled to participate in the Championships provided they are members in good standing of a National Bridge Organization (NBO).
To be eligible for participation in the European Winter Games a player must comply with the EBL Rules & Regulations and the EBL Eligibility Code under the control of the EBL Credentials Committee.
Entries received will be automatically forwarded to the NBO of each proposed player, and are subject to their NBO’s approval. Cancelations for reasons of force majeur shall be made at the earliest opportunity and the entry fee will be refunded. “No Shows” without valid reasons are subject to sanctions at the discretion of the EBL. Withdrawals of accepted entries are subject to the same deadline.
