• Format
The Championships comprise the following competitions:
- 28th European U26 Open Team Championship
- 15th European U21 Open Team Championship
- 10th European U26 Women Team Championship
- 4th European U16 Open Team Championship
- 1st European U31 Open Team Championship
All events are open to the member NBOs of the EBL. Each NBO may be represented by one national team in each Series, consisting of 4-6 players, a non-playing captain and, possibly, other officials.
The format of the championships is:
- U26 - 17 rounds of 18 boards (full RR)
- U21 - 26 rounds of 12 boards (double RR)
- U26W - 14 rounds of 12 boards (double RR)
- U16 - 15 rounds of 12 boards (full RR)
- U31 - 15 rounds of 12 boards (full RR)
In the U26 and U21 Series the matches will be played over 7 days. In the U26W, U16, and U31 Series the matches will be played over 4 days.

The match schedule is the following:
U26 - U21 - U26W - U16 - U31.
Covid Requirements
The entry requirements to the Netherlands will be in effect at the Championships.
As of June 1st, this means that there are no Covid restrictions for participants from EU or Schengen countries. Non-EU Countries should check the Netherlands entry requirements for their country.

• Programme
Prior to play an official draw for numbers in the schedule of play will be made and published on site and on the EBL website for the Championships. In the event of a variation in the number of teams participating, adjustments in the draw and schedule of play may occur. These will be notified in the daily bulletin or if necessary, at the captains’ meeting.

• Conditions of Contest
Attention is drawn to the Competitor's Commitment Form that must be signed by each participant, unless they have already done so at a previous EBL/WBF event. Details and a copy of the form can be found in the links below.
• Systems
Systems in all the Championships have to be registered with the EBL by June 27th 2022 by email. (See Section 11 and especially Section 11.5 of the GCoC).
The original files should be sent to the Systems Administrator: anna@ecats.co.uk. If the files are converted to PDF they should NOT be scanned versions but should be created from the original files.
• Entries - Registration
Right of Entry
NBOs must have paid the entry fee and be up-to-date with the payment of the annual dues to
the EBL before they can participate in the Championships.
Each participating NBO must play against all the other NBOs. Entry and subsequent
refusal to play may result in disqualification.
Every proposed player must, along with other criteria, have been born on or after 1st January 1997 in order to participate in the U26 Open & U26 Women Series, have been born on or after 1st January 2002 in order to participate in the U21 Series, have been born on or after 1st January 2007 in order to participate in the U16 Series, or have been born on or after 1st January 1992 in order to participate in the U31 Series . Each proposed player must also complete the Players Commitment Form and submit it to the EBL Secretariat, unless he/she has done it already in a previous championships. In addition, all players under 18 must present a signed Parental Consent form at the registration desk, at the venue.
Each team, in every Series, may include up to two players who satisfied the 2021 age requirements but no longer do so in 2022; all other players must satisfy the 2022 age requirements.
Registration
All entries must be made electronically via this website (not by email), before 6th June 2022 (team registration) and 20 June 2022 (team roster).
• Entry Fees
The entry fees are shown in the following table. A discount for participation in a Series will be given to the NBOs which did not participate in that Series in the last two EBL Youth Team Championships, held in Samorin 2017 and Stokke 2019.
No entry fee is to be paid for the U16 Series.

Dress Code
The EBL has a policy which seeks to encourage NBOs to provide teams participating in the European Championships to be dressed in appropriate uniforms which incorporate a badge or emblem identifying the NBO those players are representing. All players, captains and coaches of the participating teams are required to wear T-shirts, polo shirts, shirts or blouses that are of the same colour and contain the NBO's logo.
