• Format
The 19th European Champions’ Cup ("the Championship") is to be played under the auspices of the European Bridge League in the Palace Art Hotel, Pezinok, Slovakia, commencing on Thursday 11th November 2021 and ending on Saturday 13th November 2021.
The Championship format is the following:
After a complete round-robin with 11 matches of 10 boards each the teams will be divided into 3 groups, according to their ranking in the round-robin. Within each group there will be semifinals, a final and a play-off for third place, allowing a complete ranking from 1st to 12th place.

Eligible teams need to confirm their participation by the 14th September 2021, through the Participants page of the microsite. After confirming your participation, you will be able to also submit the rosters.
Please send to the EBL Secretariat, Catherine Vitry, at secretariat@europeanbridge.org, the name of the club to which the team belongs. If the team is composed of players from different clubs the team will be named with the name of the country followed by the word "Champion".
Teams are asked to submit their systems to the EBL Systems Administrator, Anna Gudge, at anna@ecats.co.uk by the 27th October 2021.
• Prizes
1st Team - EBL Gold Medal - Trophy
2nd Team - EBL Silver Medal
3rd Team - EBL Bronze Medal
The winning team will receive the Trophy and the title of European Champion Club as well as the right to participate in the next edition.
Master Points will be awarded in accordance with the EBL Master Points scheme, provided that the player has played at least half of the boards played by his team in the round robin stage and at least half the boards played by his team in the last KO match won by his team.
• Accommodation
The Palace Art Hotel Pezinok will apply the following special rates (Half Board per day/person) for the participants and their companions:
- Single room = 149 €
- Double room = 90 €
- several rooms can be turned into triple ones, the price of the third bed, half-board, is 80 € per night
Other accommodation options are available through the local organising committee.
Please note that the deadline for an advance payment of 50% of expected accommodation costs is 29th September 2021.
Transfers
The local host organizes transfers from/to either Vienna or Bratislava airports. Each teams will be informed about its transfer (car / minibus / bus) and its price once the arrival times from all interested teams are collected.
