 • Format

The Championship will be played over 7 days, preferably as a complete round robin. The format and number of boards played in each match will be determined and published when the number of participants is known. It is possible that there may be two stages: a two-group round robin followed by a second stage.

 • Conditions of Contest

Attention is drawn to the Competitor's Commitment Form that must be signed by each participant, if not already done at a previous EBL event. Details and a copy of the form can be found in the links below.

 • Entries - Registration

The deadline for NBOs' registering its intention to participate is 18th of January 2019, and payment of entry fees should be done by the same date. Later registrations will only be acceptable if not compromising the fairness of the format or the comfort of other participants. Names of players, captains and coaches must be registered latest by 31st of January, 2019, which is also the deadline for submitting System Cards. Registrations of both NBOs and names of participants can only be made electronically via the EBL Website.

Each member NBO, being up to date with the payment of its annual dues (including the 2018 dues) to the EBL is authorised to enter one team. 

NBOs must have paid the entry fee and be up to date with the payment of the dues to the EBL before they can participate in the Championship. Each participating NBO must play against all other participating NBOs. Entry and subsequent refusal to play will result in disqualification. 

Every proposed player must, along with other criteria, satisfy the EBL Eligibility rules and each team composition submitted by a NBO will be examined by the Credentials Committee.

Important Note:

Payment should be made by bank transfer to the account below. The NBO name and/or the registration code (received when registering on the EBL website) must be stated as the reference for the transfer.
