The 18th European Champions’ Cup ("the Championship") is to be played under the auspices of the European Bridge League in the Rin Grand Hotel, Bucharest, commencing on Thursday 14th November 2019 and ending on Saturday 16th November 2019..
The Championship format is the following:
After a complete round-robin with 11 matches of 10 boards each the teams will be divided into 3 groups, according to their ranking in the round-robin. Within each group there will be semifinals, a final and a play-off for third place, allowing a complete ranking from 1st to 12th place.

Eligible teams need to confirm their participation by the 15th September 2019. Please send your application to the EBL Secretariat, Catherine Vitry, at secretariat@europeanbridge.org. This information should include
(i) The name of the club to which the team belongs. If the team is composed of players from different clubs the team will be named with the name of the Country followed by National Champion.
(ii) The names of the players (4‐6) and Captain (and coach if applicable)
(iii) The name and email address of the person authorized to receive further information.
Teams are asked to submit their systems to the EBL Systems Administrator, Anna Gudge, at anna@ecats.co.uk by the 30th October 2019.
• Prizes
1st Team - EBL Gold Medal - Trophy
2nd Team - EBL Silver Medal
3rd Team - EBL Bronze Medal
The winning team will receive the Trophy and the title of European Champion Club as well as the right to participate in the next edition.
Master Points will be awarded in accordance with the EBL Master Points scheme, provided that the player has played at least one third of the boards played by his team in the round robin stage and at least half the boards played by his team in the last KO match won by his team.

The venue and championships hotel is RIN Grand Hotel, 042121 Bucharest, Vitan Barzesti nr. 7D-7E, sector 4.

The price for a half board single room is 85 euro/pax (or 95 euro/pax for full board). The price for one bed in a double room is 62 euro (with half board) or 72 euro (with full board). The payment must be done in advance, by bank transfer to the account of the Romanian Bridge Federation in EURO:
