The Generali European Open Teams Championship continued on its roller coaster course when yet another new leader emerged in the guise of France. Norway and Italy head the pelaton while Bulgaria continue to make progress up the table. Sweden, Spain and Belgium have all charged past Poland who crashed to Ireland.
Denmark are the leading ladies With 44 VPs out of their last two matches the Danish Ladies are leading the field with 79 VPs. Great Britain and Croatia are tied for second place only four VPs behind. The news everyone had been expecting finally became a reality when it became clear that the Yugoslavian ladies would not be able travel to Malta.
After the first day, Belgium is leading the 29-team field with 66 VPs. In the second place we find Germany followed by Austria1.
