1999 European Ladies Pairs Medals{short description of image} In a thrilling final two French pairs took the top positions in the GENERALI European Ladies Pairs Championship.


The new champions are Elisabeth Lacroix and Catherine Poulain, who finished only six points ahead of their compatriots Nadine Cohen and Catherine Multon.

The bronze medal went to Nevena Senior and Sarah Teshome from Great Britain. Nevena Senior - former Deleva and playing for Bulgaria then - was the first to win this championship in Brighton in 1987.


New President Elected

At yesterday's meeting of the EBL Congress the following officers were elected:

Gianarrigo Rona   Jean-Claude Beineix   Laurens Hoedenmaker
  Panos Gerontopoulos Mark De Pauw

Gianarrigo Rona - President, Jean-Claude Beneix - 1st Vice President, Laurens Hoedenmaker - 2nd Vice President, Panos Gerontopoulos - Secretary, Marc de Pauw - Treasurer.

During the next few days we hope to included a short interview with the successful candidates.
