Norway move ahead

By winning their Round 13 match 25-3 against one of their main rivals Poland, Norway assumed the sole lead in the Junior Championship, having 269 VPs. Their closest rivals are Denmark, just eight Victory Points behind on 261. Israel lost badly to Italy in their last match of the day but held on to third place with a total of 241. They are closely followed by Poland, Sweden, Russia and Iceland and it appears likely that the medal winners will come from these seven teams.

Germany Forge Ahead

After three rounds of the Schools Championship, Germany have taken a commanding lead, scoring 70/75 VPs. Yugoslavia are second with 57VPs and only one point separates the third and fourth placed teams, Denmark and Poland.
