There was plenty of excitement yesterday, when
the teams captained by Canesi & Barr
had to go into overtime, playing four extra boards in order to determine
who would advance to the last eight. While the two teams were battling
it out there was plenty of speculation as to how a tie might be
resolved, ranging from a simple toss of a coin to the concept of
a Golden or Silver IMP, rivalling the system used in Soccer. In
the event, it was the Barr team who prevailed.
Probably the biggest surprise of the day was
the elimination of the powerful team led by Gabriel Chagas
