to them. The winning team consisted of: Marion Michielsen, Mieke Wortel, Bob Drijver, Merijn Groenenboom, Jacco Hop,
Vincent de Pagter, coach Kees Tammens and npc Frans Borm. Second were long-time leaders Italy: Alberto Sangiorgio,
Irene Baroni, Andrea Boldrini, Andrea Manno, Arrigo Franchi, Matteo Montanari and npc Gianpaolo Rinaldi. The bronze
medallists are Poland: Artur Gula, Piotr Nawrocki, Michal Nowosadzki, Jan Sikora, Mikolaj Taczewski, Piotr Wiankowski and
npc Marek Markowski.
The gold medal in the Schools was decided yesterday but the other medals only today. The new champions are the holders,
Poland: Bartlomiej Wigla, Pawel Jassem, Joanna Krawczyk, Artur Machno, Piotr Tuczynski, Piotr Zakorski and npc Andrzej
Aleksandrzak. Second is Bulgaria, the first ever Bulgarian Schools team at a European Youth Championship. Well done
to Ivan Syusyukin, Zhivko Siderov, Dean Spasov and Stefan Skorchev. After a close battle in the last round, the bronze
medal went to France, who retook third place from England on the last board of the tournament. Norway was also in
contention to the end. The French team was: Marion Canonne, Pierre Franceschetti, Alexandre Kilani, Aymeric Lebatteaux,
Nicolas Lhuissier, Cedric Lorenzini, npc Christophe Oursel and coach Jean Marc Davoine.
It now just remains for me to thank everyone who has contributed to the Daily Bulletin at these championships, to wish
you all a safe journey home, and I hope to see as many as possible of you again at the next European or World Youth
Championships.
