The Championships:

Team Championship
are open to all member countries of the EBL. Each country
may be represented by one national team in each series, consisting of
4-6 players, a non-playing captain and, possibly, other officials. The
format is a simple round-robin of 20-board matches.
Three matches will normally be played every day in all series, starting
at 10.00, 14.00 and 17.30 hrs. Depending on the number of entries, some
sessions may be left free for sightseeing, etc.

Participation in all series is by EBL invitation only.
20th European Youth Bridge Championships (*in pdf format)
The Championships are classified in Category 3 of the EBL
Systems Policy. Accordingly, all systems of bidding and card play
may be used, with the exception of Highly Artificial Systems (HUM) and
Brown Sticker Conventions.
Each pair must complete an official Convention Card
and make it available in compliance with the Rules & Regulations (to
be available in May 2005).

The winners of the Junior Championship will receive
the David Pigot Cup which they can keep for two years. The members
of the first three teams will be given silver replicas of the Cup (7 per
team) and souvenir gifts. The top five teams will qualify to represent
Europe in the 2006 World Youth Team Championship.
The winners of the Schools Championship will receive
the José Damiani Trophy which they can keep for two years.
The members of the first three teams will be given replicas of the Trophy
(7 per team) and souvenir gifts. The top three teams will qualify to represent
Europe in the 2006 World Youth Team Championship.
For the Girls Championship, trophies and souvenir
gifts (7 per team) will be awarded to the winners and a number of top
teams, depending on the entries.
Screens - Table screens will be used in all series
throughout.
Dress Code - Teams are expected to be dressed appropriately
during play, and especially at the ceremonies where uniform outfit is
strongly encouraged.
Not allowed - Smoking and alcohol drinking,
as well as the use of mobile phones, pagers and any kind of electronic
communication devices in the playing area are strictly prohibited.
