Hedwig Van Glabbeek - Jan Willem Maas
The Netherlands

The new European Bridge Mixed Champions are Hedwig Van Glabbeek and Willem jan Maas of The Netherlands. As a result of their decisive victory - they won the last session having started it in the lead - each one of the seven mixed championships has seen the winners come from a different country.

The runners up were England's Kath Nelson and Steve Eginton, who moved up two places in the final session to become the first English (or British) pair to secure a medal.

Third place went to Myriam Varenne and Franck Multon, which preserved the remarkable record of pairs representing France, who have won medals at every edition of these Championships.
